Kellie Kietzman, DVM

Dr. Kellie Kietzman grew up in southern California. She spent many summers on her grandparents’ ranch surrounded by horses, cattle, and all sorts of critters! This is what first sparked her love of animals.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, she was accepted into vet school. In 2010, Kellie and her husband moved to Oregon to start her rigorous veterinary medical school training, and they fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. In 2014, she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) through Oregon State University.

Since graduation in 2014, Dr. Kietzman has worked in a combination of General Practice and Emergency / ICU medicine. She enjoys supporting the human-animal bond between clients and patients, as well as taking a collaborative approach with clients so they are as informed and involved in their pet’s care as they want to be. Her special interests include feline internal medicine, integrative therapies, emergency care, and pain management. She is currently working towards a certification in integrative rehabilitation and physical medicine.

In 2016, Dr. Kietzman completed her certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture (cVMA) through CuraCore Veterinary Academy. CuraCore offers a scientifically based, evidence-informed program in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Kietzman enjoys incorporating acupuncture into clinical practice, especially as part of a multimodal pain management plan for senior pets / palliative care.

In 2023, she earned her certification as a Fear Free veterinary professional. As a Fear Free professional, Dr. Kietzman knows the impact that fear, anxiety, and stress can have on our patients and is committed to reducing those feelings, which in turn results in a better experience for all involved.

Dr. Kietzman lives in West Linn with her husband and two young boys. She has a senior cat and a Golden Retriever. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to podcasts, watching movies, and spending time outdoors with her family.
